I'm absolutely exhausted
Had the dentist from 6 till half past
Kept waiting as usual
Of course it's
so rude
Well he left me 'til last

He summoned me in with a mumble
I must say,I felt a bit queer
I've not seen him since we had that fumble
In the car park
At Christmas,last year

He told me to take off my lipstick
Slipping into a surgical robe
He said that we just couldn't risk it
I might stain the end of his probe

I adore his mechanical chair
It goes up and down on a pole
He deliberately gave me a scare
When he let it get out of control

I do think he is a bit forward
I mean,basic good manners aside
It is awful odd to be ordered
Lie down,close your eyes and open wide

Then there's the usual old trick
I think they say it for fun
You're told to expect a small prick
And it turns out to be a great big one

Frankly I felt he was flippant
When he said that a special appliance
Attached to his drilling equipment
Was a huge contribution to science

I was drilled,filled,plastered and polished
Constantly told not to bite
I gave him my most solemn promise
Well,he seemed so concerned that I might

He concentrated intensely
But no sooner had he begun
That he said he'd enjoyed it immensely
Had I?
Well no,I was numb!

He told me to rinse,but don't swallow
And I left with a sense of releif
I've another appointment tommorrow
Well you have to look after your teeth
